Brian Carlson

Brian Carlson serves as the Acting Chief Fiduciary Officer for New York Private Bank & Trust and its affiliates, Cleveland Private Trust Company and Sarasota Private Trust Company as well as the Chief Compliance Officer for Emigrant Bank. Mr. Carlson has over 20 years of experience as an attorney and certified public accountant.

Prior to working in the financial services industry, he worked as a tax accountant and then as a consultant where he earned various certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and Certified Internal Auditor. Mr. Carlson is also a member of the New York State Bar. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Accounting from the College of the Holy Cross and a Juris Doctor degree from Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center.
